On the 16th January we were lucky to receive a visit from the Mayor of Dacorum Mr Terry Douris.
He was welcomed into school by Jorja and Ollie our Head girl and Boy.
The Mayor wore his official robes and gold chain to demonstrate to the children the importance of tradition and history.
The Mayor spoke with our years 5 and 6 children, he gave them a thorough insight into the role of a Mayor, the history behind the role and how helps our local community in Dacorum.
The children were extremely attentive and well behaved throughout the talk and the Mayor made a point of saying how wonderful they were.
After the talk the Mayor held a question and answer session, the classes had prepared many questions and showed a real interest in learning as much as possible about the role of Mayor and indeed Mr Douris himself.
